The primary purpose of the New England Chapter of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society, Inc. (AAHGS-NE) is to encourage African Americans in all walks of life -- from students to young adults to older adults to retired persons -- to investigate their family heritage.

Chapter Objectives

• To encourage membership and active participation in AAHGS - NE

• To promote the study of Afro-American history

• To embark on the discovery of our family heritage

• To encourage others to discover their family heritage and to help educate them on how to do it
