I just spent some time with her, and she is doing incredibly well all things considered. Kyle had reconstructive surgery on her lip, after she was bit by the dog this morning on the air. Her recovery is going to take a while, but it is now underway. She wanted me to thank everyone who has called, sent emails, posted comments and sent well wishes and prayers her way. Kyle is going to be OK, although she will be off the air for a while. This morning we were doing a human interest segment, as we often do on the morning show. Tuesday, a firefighter risked his life to save a dog named Max who wondered out on an ice covered lake and fell in. We wanted to do an interview with the firefighter, who many consider a hero. Max and his owner were here too. Kyle was glad she got assigned to it, because she loves animals. Max and his owner spent about 45 minutes in the newsroom before they went on the air, and many members of the staff greeted them and petted Max. He seemed perfectly normal. During the interview Kyle petted him, and talked to the two guest. At the very end of the segment, Max snapped at Kyle for whatever reason and got some of her lip. The firefighter immediately started caring for Kyle in the newsroom and to us, became a hero for the second time. She was taken by ambulance to Denver Health Medical Center a short time later to be treated. Kyle and I have been a team for 15 years, and I know her pretty well. I know she s a very loving person who deeply cares about people and animals. I know that she is a great journalist who loves happy stories this was a happy story. And I know she is a loving mom and wife and wants to get back to that life as soon as possible. She s strong and she will recover. Please send your well wishes to the station if you want to, and we ll make sure she gets them. And from me, thanks to everyone for the positive thoughts and prayers.

a 1920s fashion innovation The little black dress, simply known as LBD or TBD (tiny black dress), is a classic fashion staple that completes every woman s wardrobe. It is an essential item that not only fashionistas should have. This is especially true at times when you feel like you do not have anything to wear. Your little black dress plus some stylish innovation becomes your saving grace. As a woman s best friend season after season, the LBD should be as simple, yet elegant, as possible. It should not necessarily be trendy; else, it may look outdated the next time you wear it. Clean lines cheap nike air max 90 and plain fabric are your best bet. This will render endless possibilities of creating different looks for different occasions. For instance, wear it with a blazer and you are set for daytime office work. Pair it with bold jewelry and you are ready for an evening gala. Mix it with today s accessories and you are in with current fad. Plus, it is so easy to accent with your favorite colors. "You should always own a black dress because no one ever remembers a black dress."The little black dress was a revolutionary 1920s fashion statement attributed to French fashion designer Gabrielle Bonheur Coco Chanel. It was in 1926 when Chanel introduced this brainchild of hers. From the time it was published in Vogue, it remains popular up to now. American Vogue later called it as Chanel s Ford because like Henry Ford s cars, particularly the Model T, this one color number was such a crazy hit. It was a kind of luxury, yet so affordable and accessible to any woman. Around the same era, New York based fashion designer Nettie Rosenstein also designed little black dresses. Some said Rosenstein might have been the original creator of the LBD. Though unsure, this Jewish American nevertheless popularized the elegant black hit in the United States. In the 1930s, Chanel found her great rival, to whom she was quoted saying, "that Italian artist who makes clothes". Known for her surreal approach, designer Elsa Schiaparelli also did her occasional take on the little black dress. Schiaparelli, however, did not remain as popular as Chanel because the former s designs were said to be easily copied. Fashion fades, only style remains the same. Coco Chanel girl should be two things: classy and fabulous. Coco Chanel Photo (left): Holes inside by jamesismtvone Economy wise, the little black dress became popular during the Great Depression and World War II. Its sleeveless design was indeed perfect during these periods of frugality. War ended and the Ford dress also became liberating as it took the color black out of a mournful state. It was a genius innovative take by Coco Chanel. Black, the color of grief, had become a picture of elegance. The Little Black Dress in Hollywood Hollywood movie world was (and still is) nike air max classic bw such an institution when it comes to fashion. A banned TED Talk about ancient nike free run 2014 uses of DMT and its potential to save the global consciousness We can also observe what air max 180 psychedelics are doing to the brain in real time, but there isn really anything we can do to measure what happens in the experience and how that relates to what people report. That not to say that there isn anything going on but I don think there substantial evidence to call this proof of anything in regards to a global consciousness. Sure, the hallucinations and the visions are convincing and I think it very bizarre that people experience similar events. Could there be something to it? But coming forward and saying nike free run 3 kids "we had these vivid visions on a powerful psychedelic drug, consciousness is all connected" without much else then. A Beginner s Guide To Perfume Ingredients Our perfume today is produced in factories, but that was not always the case. Ancient perfumers worked with primarily natural ingredients, and some of those ancient ingredients are still common in perfume today (although sometimes in synthetic variation). Plants, roots, herbs, and flowers used in perfume were often used a lot in traditional healing, which is probably why up until the 18th century, perfume was considered as much an antiseptic and medicine as cosmetic. Frankincense and myrrh are two substances mentioned in the Bible and prized for being equivalent in value to gold. Frankincense is a resin from a gum tree that is produced in shapes called "tears" when the bark of the scraggly Boswallia tree is disturbed. These trees are rare and grow mainly in arid Middle Eastern lands and require hand harvesting, contributing to their exorbitant price. Myrrh, called a "bitter perfume" in the Christmas Carol "We Three Kings of Orient Are," is also used today. Myrrh is a gum resin produced from a bush like desert plant. In Arabic, the name Myrrh means "bitter" and this burnt orange looking substance does indeed have a strong, bitter aroma. Originally used as incense, today Yves St. Laurent s Opium and Rage of the Seven Sinful Scents by Gendarme list myrrh as an ingredient. Patchouli and sandalwood are both aromatic woods that come from Asia. Patchouli is grown in the East and West Indies while sandalwood comes from Nepal (about the farthest North it grows), India, Hawaii and Australia. While synthetics are often used today for these endangered woods, they have both been around for millennia as fragrance ingredients and have been prized for their healing properties. The best known patchouli scent on the market right now by far is Thierry Mugler s Angel. Mugler is a French perfumist and his unique Angel perfume is one of those love it or hate it kind of scents. Sandalwood is used in aromatherapy and also nike free 5.0 womens does double duty in the perfume world since it can serve as a fixative or anchor to other scents. Sandalwood has never really gone out of style. Today it s in lots of scents, including Dior Addict by Dior, Escada Magnetism, Hanae Mori Butterly, and the Cartier scent Delices de Cartier. Amber has got to be one of the most surprising and unusual things that is put into perfume. People who hear that a perfume contains amber typically think of the golden resin used to make jewelry. Actually, that amber is nike free outlet not used in perfume making. This amber is a short (and nicer sounding) term for ambergris. Ambergris could be picked up along the coastline and was harvested this way for hundreds of years. It was a gray substance that beachcombers could pick up and sell to factories that used it for a variety of products. Since it had a very distinctive aroma, it was used in perfumery. Ambergris did not smell wonderful by itself, but it blended well with other ingredients and became a staple in perfume making even before people knew what it was. Even womens nike free 3.0 v5 today, we don t really know what ambergris is, and perhaps we don t want to know. Sometime in the 19th century, it was known that this mysterious gray substance, which unpredictably appeared on the beaches of North America and other places, was associated with sperm whales. Today, it is thought that ambergris is a substance that sperm whales regurgitate after dining on their favorite meal of squid. Be that as it may, amber in perfume today is synthetic stuff, made to mimic the black nike air max scent of the original ambergris. Amber is found in Dolce and Gabbana s Light Blue, Vera Wang Princess, and Stella by Stella McCartney, to name a few. As much as perfume relies on ancient ingredients, including plants (lavender), spices (cinnamon, cloves), flowers (roses, gardenias, honeysuckle, lilies) and fruits (orange, lemon, peach), it also relies on new ingredients. The biggest "new thing" in perfume is the fact that today we live in a global village. Flowers indigenous to nike air max for women exotic lands can be easily obtained and put into perfume. We can now take advantage of Eastern spices, South Pacific flowers, North American musk, and Indian woods. Of course, much of this happens at the lab level, meaning in the form of synthetics. This helps preserve natural resources and makes perfume quality more uniform. Another interesting new wrinkle in the perfume world occurred in the 1920s with the advent of a chemical substance called aldehyde. Aldehyde is a synthetic odor molecule but unlike other synthetics, this wasn t a fake anything. Aldehyde was artificial and not meant to mimic anything natural. It has a distinctive "sparkly" quality to it and is often mixed with florals. Probably the best known aldehyde scent in the world is the perennial favorite, Chanel No. 5. The creator of Chanel No. 5, Ernst Breaux, also created Evening in Paris, a much more difficult scent to find, but another one that uses sparkling aldehyde notes. Today, we ve added to our roster of synthetics plus we ve blended more and more exotic ingredients together. Technology has also allowed us to capture unusual scents in perfume you can find perfumes today listing "ozone" as an element or "chocolate."

A Birthday Noder Party Meet in Swindon event Alright, I can keep that style nike free men up for about half a sentence. It seems that noders are unable to follow simple instructions! Yes, folks, there IS a number 11 bus, and getting on a randomly chosen other bus which seems to be heading in the right direction is not a good substitute! We had people ending up in different streets, different towns, different dimensions. "You re in the right room, don t worry! But you re in an alternate universe which doesn t have any people in it. No, move kata a few feet!" TheLady has a superb bookshelf and an equally superb comic bookshelf. TheLady also cooks! Prepares food. Perhaps the prevalence of recipe nodes should have given it away, but noders cook. Dimview exists. She is a real, corporeal individual, and there is photographical evidence! Of kohlcass, who phoned up during the nodermeet to wish Wntrmute a happy birthday and ended up talking to everybody including myself, I have only heard a voice, briefly, but it s surely only a matter of time. "I don t recognise nike air max 90 sale you. Let my check my list of people who are expected to be here. Are you. BaronWR? Hah! Success!" DTal seems like a nice young man. We ll have to work on that. Andrew_Aguecheek and I crossed the road to the Co Op dashed handy to buy booze. "Right, how are we paying for half of this each?" "You cut, I ll choose." ("Would you like to sponsor a dog?" is the strangest thing either of us has ever been asked at a checkout.) Apple: just as evil as Microsoft? Consensus was yes. Don t get TheLady started. My theory? Apple can make stylish looking computers and music machines. Microsoft are not at liberty to create sleek, stylish looking, white and chrome software, so they lose. The Debutante arrived, bringing party games. Yeah, seriously. We passed parcels. BaronWR s forfeit was to propose marriage to the noder opposite. rootbeer277 ("PROFESSOR SCIENCE") s forfeit, shortly afterwards, was NOT to accept BaronWR s proposal, alas. Instead, nike free runs 5.0 he was instructed to remove three items of clothing. And complied. Yeah, really. We ve seen his feet, ladies. We were divided into groups for the quiz round. "Right, for this game, you will be given the title of a node on Everything2 and you will have to tell me which noder wrote it!" "Ah ha!" I thought. "Since I am a regular user of E2, I have the advantage! Oh, wait." There was the Never Mind The Buzzcocks "Hum the song and have your teammate guess it" round, which devolved into "Get one point for recognising any of the songs in the pile of cards" but was hilarious. There was also the totally awesome Have I Got News For You "Headlines with deleted words" round, which included none, some or all (actually all) from the meet s guest publication, the November 2007 issue of Sporting Shooter magazine. It should actually have been "Harriers At Risk From Eagle Owls" There was also "Fowling By ". The actual answer was "Moonlight" but by this point we were giving points to the funniest answer, so I believe it was Wntrmute who won with "Chanel". Last Year s Rabbi did not make an appearance, alas. If you are a Facebook friend of any of the attendees then you will be able to view Dimview s photo gallery of this meet here. la petite mort s gallery is here, including several pics of Wntrmute with his honeyz. At this nodermeet, to my surprise, we actually spent a fair amount of time discussing Everything2 itself. No, we did not come to any firm conclusions. At least in the catbox, everything everybody says is heard by everybody else who reads. My goodness, it s almost like everybody has a differing opinion! When we ran out of beer I think we (or at least I) moved on to drinking vodka and blackcurrant squash, which was enough to start me thinking seriously about air max black sleep. I felt no shame about curling up on the floor while the party continued, since archiewood was already asleep under the kitchen table, and also, it was, you know, two thirty in the morning by this point. I thought of it as starting a trend. When The Debutante is asleep on a sofa under a thick heavy blanket which completely covers her, it looks like there s nobody there. The cold and regret filled light of day dawned, as it does nike free 3.0 v5 after November nodermeets. My patented hangover cure: fruit! Also there were delicious eggs. Thank you for letting us eat all your food and sleep on your floor, TheLady!
